Safety Village
Prevention=Education + AwarenessAs our focus is on Fun, Family and Fitness, there's no better time to introduce our youngest visitors to safety than during a community event when they are with their Family. Kids and adults alike will get a chance to see firsthand a variety of different emergency service vehicles, including police cars, fire trucks and ambulances. What better time to teach children about personal safety than during an exciting tour of rescue equipment. Best of all, they will have a chance to meet some of the faces behind the badges and ask questions. With the Escarpment as our backdrop for the day we felt it important to focus on injury prevention for both summer and winter sports. As well, Kelso Lake offers a great opportunity to teach children about water safety. The Safety Village will include vehicles and representatives from a variety of different areas including:
